Birria short rib is already a dish that demands attention, but the version here is something else. Tender, packed with rich flavors, and just the right balance of savory and spice- this was a meal that made me sit back and appreciate every bite. The portions here are generous, which is a nice change from places that try to get fancy and leave you hungry. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, and it's clear that a lot of care goes into making sure you leave full and happy. The space itself is inviting, the service is friendly, and overall, it's just a place that makes you feel good about your meal. If you're looking for something hearty, flavorful, and worth every penny, Poached Neighborhood Kitchen is where you want to be.

Enjoyed my morning breakfast here at Poached. You order when u walk in and sit anywhere you like (nice indoor/outdoor seating). Food was tasty and plentiful. Just like alot of places these days everything is an extra with extra $ so you could easily run your bill up. Service was nice but multiple patrons had to cue staff for more coffee refills.

Food was ok, it's tasty but I felt it to be overpriced. The service was 5/5; friendly staff, we were sat down quickly and food came out quick too. It was busy & lively inside so we opted to sit outdoors. There is plenty of outdoor shaded seating.

I began dining at their Irvine location and was thrilled to discover they had opened another branch in Downey. The wait is always long on weekends--you line up, order at the counter, and then find a seat in the large outdoor seating area. However, during my last visit, it was raining, so no one sat outside since the area isn't covered. The food is always delicious; my favorite dish has always been the Chili Verde Eggs Benedict. However, on my last visit, I opted for the classic waffle. It wasn't as dense as I expected, but it was still great. Their freshly squeezed orange juice is so good that I almost wanted to order a second glass. The service is always good, but my only complaint is that the indoor seating area can be a bit too noisy and a bit cold because the door was open
